DataGiving is a free online data resource, whose mission is to provide easily accessible, searchable, and reliable information on voluntary, charity and community work around the world.
We translate numbers into real-world impact, and aim to provide an on-demand communication channel for charities, and data resource for journalists, bloggers and writers, using reliable data, and engaging data visualisation.
For organisations working for good causes, we aim to be a key provider of international exposure for your work, with our unique position as a key resource for newsrooms across the world.
About the Company
DataGiving is a Cambridge (UK)-based technology startup founded in 2010 by Dr Sobia Hamid. The innovative idea began life as the winner of the TedxCam 2010 Open Data Challenge Hackathon, a collaborative programming event inspired by Tim Berners-Lee (inventor of the World Wide Web) and his call for data to be made more open.
In this spirit, DataGiving is striving to put the worlds causes online and make this easily accessible and useful. DataGiving has expanded into an international market featuring charitable work from across the world. DataGiving is funded by UnLtd.
